Did You Know Sanjay Leela Bhansali Passed Off Budapest As Italy In Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn And Aishwarya Rai's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam?
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam starring Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Aishwarya Rai is one of the most loved and iconic films made to date. The chemistry between the leads, the storyline, and the grandeur of the film was loved by one and all. It's climax scene, however, was the most entertaining part. Nandini played by Aishwarya Rai travels all the way to Italy to meet her love Sameer played by Salman Khan. It is Nandini's husband Vanraj who makes an effort to unite her with the love of her life. But we all know what happens in the end and that's not what we are going to discuss. Here's another interesting bit about this film.

Well, the makers very tactfully passed off Budapest as Italy to the viewers. Yes! While Sameer talks about Italy being a great place to be, the makers actually traveled to Budapest to shoot the climax scene. The bridge on which Nandini runs to meet her husband Vanraj is the Chain Bridge located in Budapest. It is one of the most popular tourist places in Budapest.

Only Sanjay Leela Bhansali knows why he did so but nonetheless, the entire scene shot at the Chain bridge appeared esthetically fantastic. Check out the scene here in case it is a lost memory for you.

Talking about the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, it remains iconic for many reasons. From its songs to the casting, it is one of the best of Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
